Focal Point will take place virtually for a second year, allowing people to tune in from anywhere in the world. Although Covid-19 vaccine roll-out has progressed in Israel, the US, and the UK, global travel and in-person gatherings are still impossible for most of the world. As a global network, OLAM wants to ensure that all our partners and friends around the world can be full and active participants in Focal Point.

For those in cities who can gather safely, we will also be organizing in-person networking events, so that our participants (and others in the community) will have opportunities to meet face-to-face. If you live in Israel, London, New York City, or Washington DC - stay tuned for an invitation to join an in-person event! These will take place during the week of Focal Point and will follow local health and safety guidelines.

  • One-on-one and group networking opportunities
  • Q&A sessions with keynote speakers and other experts from the field
  • Intimate breakout groups to share and gain inspiration from one another
  • Problem-solving workshops focused on some of the world’s most pressing issues
  • Deep discussions on how to engage Jewish communities around global Jewish responsibility
  • Hearing directly from those in the field about their realities during a year of crisis

And much more!

We are excited to include attendees from across the globe. In order to take into account the various time zones, we will offer 5 hours a day of live programming, at the following times:

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM ET            2:00 PM - 7:00 PM UK            4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Israel

Please note that the conference will take place in between the daylight savings clock change in Israel/UK and in the US, so there is a shorter time difference than normal.

Stay tuned for details about in-person networking events in select cities around the world that will take place during the week of Focal Point (in Israel, London, New York City, Washington DC, and possibly more).

We are asking attendees to commit to a holistic experience of learning, sharing, and connecting over two days, so please reserve your schedule on November 3 and 4, 2021 so that you can fully participate.

Focal Point is open to anyone passionate about engaging the Jewish community in international development, global service, and humanitarian aid. We hope to see a diverse group of practitioners, Jewish communal professionals, funders, rabbis, service program alumni, and more! Organizations are encouraged to register any and all relevant staff.

Registration closes on Friday, October 29, 2021. Please note that we are offering an early bird discounted registration rate for those who register by October 8.
