Avidan Freedman is a rabbi and educator at the Shalom Hartman Institute's high school and post-high school program in Jerusalem, and an activist on the issues of Israeli arms exports and treatment of asylum seekers, advocating for an approach based on Jewish ethics and law. He was one of the founders of the Lo Tasgir group, religious Jews fighting against the expulsion of asylum seekers, and founded and directs the Yanshuf Coalition and the Liam Coalition advocating for moral limits on Israeli arms exports.
